Description:

A few day ago I came across an image and I just HAD to make a splash out of
it. Here it is! .-).

As usual copy it to .kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics or the system wide ksplash/pics path.
SuSE users should look for .kde2 instead of .kde!

29.11.2001: The jumping icons issue is fixed. Thanks to Ville Vataja for it.
Never noticed it since I am running 1600x1400 where you need to look _very_ close to see it. .-)

As we all know, Christian Louboutin shoes are very famous. Compared to others, they definitely become the favorite priority above all. They are luxurious and sexy so that they could attract all the attention of the world.

Just to save people the download - this is the default splash in the KDE3 3.0.0 tarballs (don't know about RPMs)

I've tried out a few splash screens, and this is without a doubt the most gorgeous of them all. It fits in nicely with my liquid style/theme and Aqua window decorations.

One day I'll figure out how to do all this stuff too ... probably after I can get my home machine running again so I don't have to do everything from work!

I've been using this splash for a few months and I like it very much, IMO it's better than any other splash I've yet seen.

I only noticed the 'jumping icons' thing last night, which I notice you've already fixed. Thanks very much for making such a good splash, it's FAR nicer than the default KDE one (I changed back to default recently just to remember what it looked like, boy is that ugly!).

Hello,

This splash screen is *much* nicer than the one currently in HEAD. I truly hope this one becomes the default for KDE3, and not the Konqy one.

Looks like a work by the great Qwertz. Is it?

Report

Yes, qwertz did this one for KDE 2.2 iirc, but he didn't think it was good enough to actually release it.

Greetings,
Tackat

I think it looks great. Actually it proves that qwertz could create really good lookings icons, if he wanted to.

Excellent splash screen! It might be the first one I stick with for more than half a week at a time. But I have noticed that the icons sort of shift positions when they blink on. Is this intentional?

it might be good to have a kdm theme also???

So what if it's QPL'ed? Just take the
project, rename it, give him credit for
the work HE did, and keep developing it. It's no more complicated than developing a BSD-licensed project.
