Description: This is the default Splash Screen for KDE 3, on RedHat 7.3. If you use RedHat you should type: cp *.png /usr/share/apps/ksplash/pics or if you use a Kde 3 binarie downloaded (updated) it must be on /opt/kde3/share/apps/ksplash/pics, NOTE: first backups your old ones if you want :-), enjoy. In the next version (if this one its succesfull) I will include a Install Script.
the splash is good but i think that you would redesign the icons in the botton bar....
and i thibnk that redhat is the most stable linux. i believe that redhat is a pretty hard to configure.
Red Hat is great for people starting out I think, but I've been using Gentoo lately and I have to say that I like it better than Red Hat. It's well worth the compile time and you get to actually learn how things work.
Just my two cents.
