I have debian etch - windows xp dual boot system with grub. However, I can't make this work. Every way I tried, grub gives me 'failed to read' message.

blessing's to you, from the church of emac's =).

nebedaay

True. True. Be careful not to share this grub with Windows though.

For my there are scariest things, more than look of stallman, for example http://akinlg.wanadooadsl.net/akin/ninhavietnal.jpg or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfqZPnNmyKE&search=OPERACION. Stallman has made possible that your use free software. This man are ST Stallman! (ok, i am joking) ;-)

GRUB

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
