Description: I got bored so i started this mockup for a great program. It's made with glade2 and i'm showing it here to hear what you think about it's progress. Any comments will be welcome, when it's finished i'll send it to the gtk-gnutella developers to see if they want to use it. My objective with this it's not to remove options from the user but just use everything the program offers but in a more good looking way ( i hope ).Last changelog:
Nobody seems to like tabs. I really don't know why?! I don't want to copy Evolution GUI, if I would do that it would just look like the current gtk-gnutella look and that's why i won't change the use of tabs (If you compare Evolution layout with gtk-gnutella you'll notice gtk-gnutella was very inspired by evolution GUI. My main objective is to learn to use Glade and do something usefull while learning. I've posted the glade file here on download. If you would like to change anything just go ahead, maybe i like better your design.
Using tabs really isn't ideal for the interface (although it's very common in file-sharing programs). Especially if functionality is added later, it can get really cluttered. Just take a look at nicotine, it's a usability nightmare, even more so because it doesn't have keyboard bindings.
A possible solution is using buttons like the component switcher (e-mail, calendar, etc...) in evolution.
I tend to agree.
Tabs can become redundant after a while.
A vertical component switcher on the left would be nice.
I do like the simplicity of it, though :)

Forgot to say that the only tabs i consider "made" are GnutellaNET and Upload tabs. The others are just unfinished work. With time i'll complete them.
