words are missing

I love this splashscreen...
the only disturbing thing for me is "connectiva linux" on the upper right corner (I added the Mandrake star there :p)

it took me a couple of minutes to figure out what you are talking about. he is using kde, but he is not linux...

a splash screen is just 4 image files which are to be copied into
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics
or for SuSE in
~/.kde2/share/apps/ksplash/pics

where the "~" means /home/username

This one is a really professional-grade splash that should really be adopted as the default. Removing the vendor logo is trivial.

It's easy enough to remove the "Connectiva Linux" from the splash screen. Perhaps on the next iteration...

it would not be too hard to modify the splash to take out any linux specific stuff

i think the theme manager should be able to change anything that can be changed.

maybe something to be added to v3
