A playfull, unorthodox icon set, partly based on paintings I made.
2D, with freehand drawings.

Years ago I made a series of paintings of simple figures - I call them Kiddos,
who by their posture express emotions, their attitude towards life. Often the
figures are empty inside. A friend said about one: "What am I doing here all alone in the cosmos?" While the paintings are quite big, they can be iconized. This is what I did. The approach is unorthodox. Normally, icons are symbolic of the function they represent. In design, the associations should be straightforward. In art, associations are not straightforward, they are a play between artist and viewer, with more possible outcomes. So, in this set I took the liberty to link emotions to technique.
