Installing that program and dragging and dropping an icon does nothing but kill the KDE 4.2 panel.
Awesome. But how do I replace the current pic?
I don't know if this is distro-independent, but i assume you have some flavour of debian installed :-) There are two ways to install these icons: 1.) Go to /usr/share/icons/$YOUR_ICONSET/$SIZE/apps and replace the file kmenu.png with the file provided in my tarball. 2.) Go to ~/.kde/share/icons/$YOUR_ICONSET/$SIZE/apps and replace the file kmenu.png with the file provided in my tarball. I recommend you to replace the icons in all sizes. This ensures that the icon is shown, regardless of the kicker-size. Don't forget to create a backup of the former kmenu.png-files.
Or, you can install kbfx and just drag&drop your custum icon. I think's it's easier like this :-)
give it a less straigth line reflex ;) but its great work!
