1) Copy the EmotiKons directory to $KDEDIR/share/apps/kopete/pics/emoticons or $HOME/.kde/share/apps/kopete/pics/emoticons 2) Select from the menu and click on 3) Select Appearance in the left panel of the Preferences windows and Click on the Emoticons tab 4) Select EmotiKons from the Emoticons tab and click 5) Now you can use the EmotiKons smileys in Kopete
There's also a install script included. This is very experimental, but everyone's invited to test this script and I'm always interested in suggestions to make this script better. Since this script is based on the most recent version of Kdialog, it probabily requires KDE 3.2.
Hi Kristof. I tried to mail you but your skynet address bounces.
I'd like to include the core icons from this set with Kopete, with a pointer in the documentation describing how to install the complete set. Is this ok?
To get in touch, look me up on the Kopete-devel mailing list.
Cheers

By default the directory ~/.kde/share/apps/kopete/pics/ doesn't exist. That's why the ./install script failed when I ran it.
I've added -p to the mkdir command and rerun => success.
Uri.

Thanks, very nice emotions and good work. I'm running Suse9 and installed them in /opt/kde3/share/apps/kopete/pics/emoticons
The wink icon looks differnet in the second screenshot. Which one is included?
