Keep making this set! It has a lot of potential. As soon as it is complete, I would make it my default. Great job so far!

These are really an excellent work of art. If you have the time and will to create a whole theme you whould submit it to MandrakeSoft or similar ppl for them to include them in their next OS release. What did you use to make them? Thanks for sharing.

linuxgfx

Thanks! I am using usually Gimp, but for some effects on some icons i used Adobe Photoshop (thanks to Crossover Office) ;) Enjoy!

Kormac

These look very good. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these.

I'm a total linux noob, so please bear with me. I've tried to follow your directions from the "how to install" link and I'm doing something wrong.I'm running an up to date version of SusE 9.1 personal, and am just learning the OS. My control center has "Appearance and themes" instead of "look and feel", unless I'm missing something. That takes me to icons, which has a "Add a new theme" button, but when i browse to the folder i copied the file to I get "not a valid icon archive". I've unzipped it in ark, and tried it without unzipping, but I can't get it to take. I'm probably missing something obvious, but like my description states, I'm a total linux noob. Thanks for any help, and your icons look great!, hope to be able to use them!

As the author says, there are only currently about 10 icons in this set - no where near enough for a working set. This is why these icons have not been distributed as a working set - they are just a preview... In short, they will not be able (yet?) to be installed.

linuxgfx

Well, like i said before this is not a complete icon set so doesn't work installing it.When the icon set will be complete,i will include all the files needed for install.

linuxgfx

I've just added 3 new icons!Hope you like them

rocketpcguy

lokean

nice icons! if this will become a more complete set, i may actually use them. keep up the good work!

mrpengo

but I don't see they very "glassy"

linuxgfx

Yes,you're right,i should call them "metallic icons"?

mrpengo

Yes, metalic fits better. Keep the good work, they are looking very impresive.
