"Damn straight, it's powered by Linux" thing is a Karamba widget that opens Konsole on click. Found at: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=15107
The only reason I threw in the second screenshot with gAIM window up is to explain why I have the taskbar sized so oddly.
