This is my desktop and I love it. I followed Lauri Taimila's guide to get the orange feel but I added my own component--Engage dock. This amazing dock is both a launcher and a docker so I have no need for a window list. It adds to the beauty of the desktop. Ok. Becuase I myself was only recently able to figure this out, the only way to get the engage dock to be semitransparent is to get the version in the elive repo. I don't remember what it is right off the bat, but go to ubuntuforums and look up "elive repo e17" and you should find it. It's much better than the normal standalone version.
