1. bad lenght, especialy with vbr mp3's and it really sucks
2. it is still easy to crash amarok, it hangs often when updating collection (sqlite)
3. using scroll to rewind/forward song is not working well
they need to work on it some more but it is still very good player, very addicting

Now with those 1.4.x versions it has become a lot more stable.
Changing songs is a bit slow - so maybe this should be improved so when You have to find a song among 15 in the list just by listening to the first sounds You don't get frustrated.
Thx for Your good work

Its score of 80+% isn't right. I think it should be over 95%.
Keep up the great development work!

Slowness:
* Next track takes on the order of 300 ms - way too slow.
* Scrolling through the KHTML Lyrics/Context bits is painful. You can watch as it renders.
Bugs:
* It freezes with ridiculous frequency. Don't know what causes it but it surely can't be one bug. It just froze by me dragging a track from one place to another.
* What's worse is that if it freezes without you noticing, the music stops normally. Naturally you think 'damn hidden tracks' and press your next-track shortcut key, only to have amarok grab the keyboard and block all keypresses! Nothing is more annoying than having to write 'killall amarokapp' without the keyboard!
Juk would be ideal if it had automatic lyrics getting, and the search was fast. One day I shall find the ideal music player.

I guess I use Amarok differently. I don't try to rearrange tracks so it hardly ever crashes on me.
If you need to kill a process without using the keyboard, I highly recommend 'KPS'. It's available here on KDE-Apps.
You could always try Rhythmbox, but I prefer Amarok. Kaffeine is also looking pretty good these days.
IMO, Amarok is one of the best things since sliced bread.

FWIW, Scores on kde-apps.org depreciate without a constant stream of updates, so it can be a little difficult to keep up on the 80-90% score mark :).

My Environment should not be the problem, although its not the bleeding edge:
AMD AthlonXP 1800
756 MB RAM
Kubuntut Dapper 6.0.6 with latest KDE.
Does anybody else have this problem?
Can i do something to improve this?

Arg. I know lots of iTunes people and the library sharing feature would be useful.

Currently amarok isn't fully useable for me? How can I view my collection sorted by composers?

I've amarok 1.4.1 and I am speaking about the left column, where you have only some predefined views like artist, artist/album or where you can created your own (3-level)view and choose between artist, album, album-year, genre and year.
But there is unfortunately no composer!
