Description: This is a patch that provides native lirc support for smplayer.
Requirements for compilation: Qt 4.4.0 at least.
Smplayer is a great mplayer frontend but it lacks support for remote controls, so I try to fix this missing feature. For your convenience in the attached file is a script that will checkout the latest smplayer svn sources and will apply the patch for you. I haven't tested to build it for Windows, but it should compile. You can configure smplayer to use lirc in the Preferences dialog (see the screenshots). To use the feature you must have working lirc server or WinLirc if you using Windows.
Please, report any bugs found or requests to kernel_daemon@users.sourceforge.net, or just post a comment here.
This is one of the most useful patch i have found, it's great to can control smplayer from the sofa and with a fancy GUI. It's pitty that it can't be compiled with the lastest svn.
Greetings.

This plugin just work great, but it is possible to set repeat = 0 for some events? Like in .lircrc?
