I try compile it on Kubuntu 6.06 Dapper and this error appear:

I agree, the interface is lovely simple. Reverse encoding... why not.
My question is: how does it work? Does it only find and extract the avi sequence embedded inside the flv file or does it do a re-encoding? (In the second case there would be a loss of quality)
It's just a GUI for ffmpeg.
You can do the same manually in command line.
Example : ffmpeg -i myvideo.flv -b 550 -pass 1 -ar 22050 -ab 32 -f avi -s 380x310 3050.avi

Check your Qt version. Which is it ? I have done it on the 4.2.3.
My QT version is 4.1.2. Above is written required version 4.x so this shoudn't be problem.

Try to edit the file and put the line in comment. Did you try with the last update ?
