Description:

Kitty is a plain DTV and Kitty (and now a generical podcast) client for Linux. DTV is the well-known Internet TV service for Apple Mac users. Now also KDE users can watch DTV on their desktops!

PS: The Kitty TV Guide service is also made by me!

[INTERMISSION]

Well... that is the 0.9.2 release of Kitty, after quite long time. I switched from Slackware to Debian and for this the release was delayed.
However I don't know if the next one will be as quick as these because I'm starting new projects in another languages that will absorb all my time.
This time I've to thank a bunch of people who are helping this project a lot.
Grentis, which is my "testers team". This time I've sent the package to him for testing... And it should work.
Bianca (my GF) which is ever near me, while the long silent developing hours. Thank you!
David R. for his bug report and their congrats. I'll keep an eye to Kitty.
Kurt Pfeifle for his invitation to the Klik mantainers team for kitty. I'm waiting your emails!
Daniel Faust for his suggestions. Part of them are now implemented. :)
Ize, which was writing a gentoo ebuild for Kitty. Someone is waiting for him! ;)
jaykayess, for his suggestion. I've tried to do what you asked but needs too much time. It's faster to extend Akregator! ;)

Concentrating to the forgotten KDE interface...

[~] !!! Changed directories for videos. Now are in "my-media" !
[~] Lotsa more bugfixes
[~] Fixed the nasty bug that enables actions after feed selection
[+] Stop button in the interface (thx Daniel Faust)
[+] Now playing icon also into the KDE interface
[+] Extension is shown near thumbnails/icons (thx Daniel Faust)

Hey, I love Kitty (sure beats Miro!). However, could you add a way to sort by date released? I mean, that's kind of the whole point of a podcast :-D.

Also, is there any way to add Miro's channel guide?

Oww... You're breaking my heart. I've abandoned Kitty long time ago but hearing that is still used filled my heart.
I don't know if I'll have more spare time to dedicated (I was half-unemployed when worked on Kitty) but I'd like to give to Kitty a rewrite (or an update).

Please do, there really is no podcast app for linux and especially KDE that can do video. Also there are podcasts that include other files with them like PDFs and images. There is a NEED for a podcast client that can download whatever the podcast is and contains and display/play it. iTunes does all this, but iTunes is OSX and Windows only.

As I said, it was "build in progress" and seems to be no more completed by Ize.
So... you can provide a good .ebuild for all the Gentoo community! :O)

Do I always have to add an individual item to the collection? Can't I add a whole feed and have Kitty automatically download new content w/out my selecting each one?

Nice feat. It can make Kitty a fully featured aggregator/podcast player. I don't know if I'll have enough time for check all the suggested features but I hope that someone (asking me and keeping me into credits... ;) ) can grow this black cat... Who knows? However...

Yes. A Bug report from the author? Eheh... sorry but I'm here to say that I've found a lot of bugs into the publishing code and around the code... And I'm sorry.
The next version should be better. ;)

Cool Application now i can compile it with my Slackware 10.2 :)
But where is the cat logo on the Kde Menu?
I can see only Kitty (Poadcast Client) without logo. ;)

Hi, really cool app. Unfortunately it crashed while trying to tune in a video stream. I couldn't get a backtrace. One tip, you should save the settings, when the user makes them and not at program exit.

Probably is a bug I found between the 0.1 and the 0.9 version (try2 - the latest tarball don't work).
Try this newer version when I'll submit the correct one and tell me if this don't work.

BTW... I really heave to say a big thaknkyou to all the pakager that are packaging kitty. Is an honour!
