KDVDCreator
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work):
Easy to use, user friendly and first of all smart, application to create video VCD, SVCD or DVD, suitables for home players, from any number of video files, in any of the formats supported by Mplayer/Mencoder.
Main things:
* smart encoder ( all good parameters are copied )
* multiple subtitle streams
* support for video files with more than one audio stream
* mdi apps, so you can e.g create more than one project per night
* flexible DVD structure - you can put different aspect ratios, resolutions or movies with different audio channels on one DVD
Dependencies:
* mplayer/mencoder
* dvdauthor
* ImageMagick >= 6.3.2
0.2
* small gui changes
* full drag & drop
* support for China Video Disc (CVD)
* full subtitle support ( e.g change fps, time shift if you join movie clips together )
* all bugs fixed
0.3
* chapters
* disc structure
* preview ( static, on fly )
* video player ( video driver and audio track via RMB )
* now you can set gui/data update interval ( it's important, because refreshing data and gui, in particular during conversion, it's not for free )
I'm currently working on menu and support for blu-ray, hq-dvd.

May be the first real alternative to ConvertX... DVD Styler (written in GTK+) and Devede...
Sorry for twice-posting but I forget to say if you plan to translate this app I will glad to translate it to Spansish, thanks!
WoW Thank You very much Your Program is one and best its realy good ;)
Hi, where is this project headed? I can see that there is a sourceforge project with the same name, but the cvs directory is empty. Are there plans to fill that? Or to host this project in KDE svn? The reason I ask is that I think a user friendly DVD creatior application for Linux is badly missing, and that KDVDCreator is a possible candidate, given the development continues in an open way. So, where is this headed?
svn checkout http://kvideomediacreator.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ kvideomediacreator-read-only

Yes, this one compiles and runs :)
Nice! I have waited that ManDVD would get new GUI by author or someone else, but this looks great. Need to install and test how it works... :-)
Hi, first off all, thank you for creating this nice app. I builded this on Kubuntu 8.04 without any errors. When I try to preview a file it gives me the error "Error code is 127(18N_ARGUMENT_MISSING). Any idea?
Hi , great work. I like your application . You wrote : "I'm currently working on menu and support for blu-ray, hq-dvd." WOW , I cant wait to try it out ! There is no linux application ( which I know ) who can do that ( Blu-ray ). Keep on working this great work ... Greetings
I've compiled and installed it on ubuntu, but when running it says "missing program files" and does not run. :-(
My mistake, sorry. You can: 1. download new sources or 2. create folder ~/.spumux
I having the same problems and I did create .spumux. I'm running kde 3.5.10, is there a version or fix for this vesion of kde? I have no plans to move to kde4 but instead Trinity. Thanks
Nice app! It looks very promising :) The VMG menu option is always grayed out because it's not implemented yet? One suggestion: I think you should use simple and friendly names rather than VST or VMG because many of us do not know about DVDs structure. Anyway, great job and keep it up :)
I have the greyed out menu option too. Not a dvd guru, so was wondering about menu creation?
gentoo ebuild is available as a part of Arcon overlay (layman -a arcon)
Hi Is this not available for kde 3.5 series? Many thanks Dave
under kde3 works only if You have KDE 4 libraries (+ icons) installed.
Can't wait to try it out...
