Version 1.1 is much better. But why did you remove the ability to browse by selecting a directory? I think both should be possible: Starting via a single file (file list hidden), Starting via a directory node (file list displayed).
What I'd like for next version:
- Starting another application by hitting a key (and/or right mouse click menu), e.g. gimp
- Caching pictures (next in list, last viewed) to display the images immediately.
- Display image informations (resolution, file size, and more meta data)
Actually that's exactly what it does for me both on windows and linux :P
launch quik with a file path as argument and it will open that file without the file list (You can get it back by pressing ctrl-f). Launch it on a directory and it will browse that directory
In quick.cpp, there's still an absolute path to a header file. Would be great if you'd make it relative.
I assigned it to jpg-files via context menus, but I get a black window. I assign it to folders, and the first image gets loaded.
I'd like it, if I could assign it directly to image files instead of folders, if the file panel would be hidden, if I could use my mouse wheel to load the previous/next image, and if there were a fullscreen mode.
What did you do to get it to compile?
I changed the absolute path in quik.cpp and ran make again, no errors reported (on the second run) but no binary created either.
SuSE 9.0 if it matters (shouldn't)
Potentially very nice app if the compilation errors can be sorted out

There has been created a bin folder one directory up; I also meant there hadn't been created a binary ;-) .
