Firewall Builder is a multi-platform firewall configuration and management system. It consists of a GUI and set of policy compilers for various firewall platforms. It helps users maintain a database of objects and allows policy editing using simple drag-and-drop operations. The GUI and policy compilers are completely independent, this provides for a consistent abstract model and the same GUI for different firewall platforms. It currently supports iptables, ipfilter, ipfw, OpenBSD pf and Cisco PIX. Existing configuration can be imported for iptables and Cisco IOS access lists. Built-in policy installer uses ssh to copy generated policy to the firewall or router and activate it.

v2.1.19 is a bugfix release. Few bugs that affected support for "limit" and "timeout" options in compiler for PF were fixed; option "Clamp MSS to MTU" in compiler for iptables now generates rule that will match packets in states ESTABLISHED and RELATED; bug that affected printing long rulesets on Windows was also fixed.
Major update: starting with v2.1.18, policy compilers for Cisco PIX (supports FWSM and ASA appliances) and IOS extended access lists have been released under GPL and included in the main package. Changes in the packaging: now we ship only two RPMs, one for the fwbuilder library (libfwbuilder-2.1.18.rpm) and the other for the GUI and all 6 policy compilers (fwbuilder-2.1.18.rpm)

I convert it to a .DEB with alien, but after dpkg -i fwbuilder-xx I run fwbuilder and it aborts with an error. Something about a missing library, wich I dont know were to get it and install.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe it's only my box but developers will need to do some more work on the control displaying policy rules, especially in Linux version.
Rewriting it in QT was great idea too!

Webmin - man you are funny. Webmin is just not in the same league and to make this comment shows that you can't have used this application or other applications like it. This kind of interface is the STANDARD for configuring high-roller firewalls like checkpoint, etc.
Webmin, indeed.
