What do you think about it ?
Do you think we can hide the menu by default ?
You can find it on my rekonq clone repository:

Especially the idea with the status bar is interesting. Just like Chromium does.
1 critical thing is this new tab button: I don't know what to think about this issue in Firefox 3.5: A lot of users surf in one tab only. And if that is the case they don't use the whole line. So that's the greatest waste of space for these users (and in fact for tab users starting a new session with only one tab).

It is not only a question of wasted space.
The first impression with Chrome, IE, Safari, is better than Firefox, Konqueror, Rekonq or Arora because it seems easier.
The question is: how rekonq can give this first impression but also be powerful and adaptable ?

I agree with you this is a problem for these users. I am not sure, but I think most people prefer tabs. If it is the case, it must be set by default but must be easily changed.

Firefox is still better, I love many extension and can't live without (almost ;) ). A Qt XUL-ui exist in firefox 4 mercurail branch. I wonder how much effort it would take to make an API compatibility layer to use those extensions in rekonq?

Are you shure? Never heard of this? Do you have any source for that?
If this is the case you should hurry with rekonq to win me over for it ;)

One disappointment is lack of java support, but it's early days yet!
Also, when I click your souceforge link in About rekonq, it opens in Konqueror!
Thanks again and keep up the great work.

The progress bar in the address bar is awesome.
Some suggestions/bugs:
- Maybe make the address bar accept searches and maybe show history. The Search box on the right becomes redundant.
- The "Zoom Text Only" option is unchecked but still only text is zoomed
- Add middle clicking on a tab closes it.
- Currently frame widths cannot be adjusted (ex. Google Images).
- The fonts on webpages are smaller than they should be. Also the buttons, on webpages are as wide as the text. (I don't know if these are webkit issues)
- Hotmail does not allow you to click on an email to open it (Webkit issue?)
Keep up the good work

Due to the aforementioned small text size bug though it's not ready for daily use yet, but i'm really looking forward to that!
As for wishes: adblocking would be nice, but really isn't critical. and maybe a few config options for the tabs. I like it for example to have them opened in the background. (and there's a small bug?: if you click on the home button with your middle mouse button it doesn't open that page like in konqueror)
Just keep up the great work and this will be the best browser on a kde desktop in no time!

The .deb was built using my plasmoid2deb tool on Kubuntu Jaunty amd64.
I'm sorry but I'm not able to test my packages on original Debian (I like it better), because of several problems with my hardware configuration on it...
