rekonq is a web browser for KDE based on WebKit.

anyhow...
I was trying to set those 2 sites for manual filtering... any hint on how to add them to white list?

i've tryed with:
@@flickr
but it doesn't work...

@@myspace instead works well

i have the version 0.5.80 of rekonq and i remarked a not correct behavor. When i click to add a filter on a link, i have the dialog to add or ignore the filter. If i choose Add, in adblock settings i have only the title of the filter. If i choose Ignore, the filter is added normaly. So, there is not an option to remove, or denied to add the filter

For people that dont want to use Qt4.7 yet or Kubuntu PPA for KDE 4.5

I have created packages for Rekonq, compiled againt the official Lucid Qt4.6.2 and KDE4.4

Yes it's good I compile rekonq 0.80 with qt 4.7 but adblock block adds but let the space and the icon of addblock, and I can't play ogg video, their is the preview and the start button but when I click nothing appens. What I have to do?

If there is one thing rekonq (and KDE4 in general) need to give love to is proxy settings.

As of now, only manual proxy settings are reliable (in KDE.) Automatic proxy URL does not work.

For example, even with the latest rekonq, using a proxy, the thumbnails on the new tab do not update. The progress circle goes on turning in all of them. Without proxy, it works fine.

rekonq uses the KDE Proxy settings, so, as you already mentioned, the “general” KDE Proxy feature has to be improved.

Thanks, I thought so too. KDE proxy module has been ignore since 4.0, i believe. This is making both Konqueror and rekonq unattractive for me ... i use KDE as my primary desktop at work and nothing really works without proxy!

Thanks! i hope that will be fixed soon but unfortunately i did nt see any reply in the qwebkit bugzilla. May be we will have more soon an rekonq addon for the spellcheck :)

I finished the greek translation of rekonq and i sent it allready to the greek kde team

i got a strange issue with rekonq.
if i run it from kde menu, it doesn't show the favorites page but instead displays a blank page titled "(Untitled)" and also got some others minor bugs like not properly displying the favicons (just half favicon is displayed).
If i run it from a terminal with the command "rekonq" it runs well indeed.

any suggestion or idea why it's performing this way?
i got the last version (0.5.80) working under KDE 4.5 on Kubuntu 10.04.

Also... any way to add Italian to the languages in the language menu? I only got "American English" in there.

ok, try the following:

Instead of running “cmake ..” run “cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr ..”
and then make and make install.

I'm using rekonq 0.5.55+git2010081912-1~lucid~ppa1 and I'm very happy with it, I think it is a great work, what you are doing.

these are small suggestions to improve it even more for the 1.0 version, you are free to follow them or not :)

- urlbar: add a button to remove the text, like in other kde apps (the very same for the find bar)

- zoom slider bar: To remove the space it takes, I would use one small slider bar, similar to what dolphin uses maybe, and put it sharing the location where the tabs are, but on the right.

- use kpart to open most types of files within the browser. Maybe it's already done, but I cannot get it working properly in rekonq.

Rekonq is far snappier than konqueror. Also support of flash is better.

But still no support for javascript bookmarklets like the one for google bookmarks (it returns the code in the address bar i.s.o. of performing the function).

Signing in into google does not return the right page. I use google.be which returns me on all other browsers the correct dutch page. Rekonq gives me an english page.

Also google mail perceives rekonq as an "outdated browser" when going to gmail page.

I do not use an option "to show the panel of tabs always", but sometimes there is a tab close box, I consider that it bug
As I very much ask you, to add possibility of addition of indents near an address bar

Improved? There's no such support in rekonq 0.5. We're supposed to be a little patient with this, I take it.

Chrome extension support won’t make it into 0.6 we hope to it will be ready in 1.0 (the version after 0.6)
