rekonq is a web browser for KDE based on WebKit.

Sure you cannot configure it via the 'configure shortcuts' dialog in rekonq settings?
(I'm at work now and I cannot confirm..)

I've just checked the 'configure shortcuts' dialog in the latest rekonq from git: there is no action like "Close all but active tab". So it seems that it is impossible to configure it from there.:(

The bookmarks menu is replaced by a star icon. (see http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/7830/intended.png) Is this behaviour intended?

No it is not intended. This bug doesn't appear on my computer. What version of Rekonq/KDE/qt do you use ?

Weird that you say that this doesn't happen on your computer. Because earlier you posted a screenshot, which shows clearly the same behaviour.

I just installed rekonq 0.2 from the "community" openSUSE repos for kde 4.3. It looks like a great improvement over 0.1!
The "problem" is that rekonq cannot see my konqueror bookmarks. How can I instruct rekonq to use them?

OpenSuse keeps settings in ~/.kde4, not ~/.kde. I solve this creating symbolic link.

Hmm, I think a separate address and Searchbar is better. It would be nice if this comes back in a new Rekonq-Version. In 0.1.98 the searchbar is totally gone. :-(

I also miss the possibility to clear the address bar with only one click (as it functioned in the searchbar before)

We are working hard on the new urlbar. I'm sorry for this "incomplete" one, but we really like the "one-do-all-bar" idea (krunner based).
About cleaning the urlbar, can CTRL+L shortcut be a solution?

CTRL+L works of course. But I just dont understand why rekonq is the only KDE browser, who is missing this clear button.

Especially with such a adress/searchbar combination a clear button can be very useful, or not?

Now I have noticed, that also a "ENTER" button is missing, that can be added to the Mainbar.

Any chance to this button too?

In the futur, Rekonq will propably have a url bar based on KRunner.
You are right it may not be a good idea to remove the search bar before release something better.

I proposed a patch for automatically select the text in the url bar but it has been rejected. If the text is selectionned by default, you just need to type something for replace the previous one. The only case causing problem is when you want modify the url. And this case is not the most usual.

In the futur, Rekonq will propably have a url bar based on KRunner.
You are right it may not be a good idea to remove the search bar before release something better.

It appears Session Management is not yet implemented? I have to log to a SMF forum each time and unable to reply to a thread as I get the following error.

Session Management is scheduled for 0.3 release, our "perhaps first stable" release.
About problems on POST connections (e.g. commenting on this site with rekonq) if you can read this, I (quite surely) fixed it :)

Rekonq 0.1.98 uses the acessManager and the cookieJar of KDE 4.3. There are bugs in these classes and perhaps in Rekonq itself. These (critical) bugs needs more investigations. It is possible that Rekonq will not properly work before KDE 4.4. Patchs are welcome.

excuse if I go back to trouble.
wont to upgrade to this version, but when I see a compilation error:
KDE Desktop Environment ............... YES
- KDE version 4.2.4 found!
- As KDE version is lower than KDE 4.2.70, rekonq will have
- Some functions about KDE integration disabled

Expected in August, but never so soon.:)
To install it on slackware 12.2 with kde 3 (I also Qt4.5) how can I do?
for now use it on Debian / Sid
