I tried to figure out how to logout and login to a different account, but this seems to be unpossible. How can I do this?
*impossible ;)
Okay, found out I had to do this via dropbox.com :)
It does NOT load the local directory for Dropbox and when I go into Preferences/Account, I have to "move" the directory by selecting ~/Dropbox from the Move file menu. This happens EVERY time I reboot and I have to restart Dropbox as well. I don't reboot very often but it is a pain-in-the-a$$. This only started recently after I upgraded to Tardy 14.04. If you have a fix, I would appreciate it. Thank you!
Hi! I left the development of this app years ago but some other devs are maintaining it. You can find an updated version here https://github.com/gtgt/kfilebox

I sended an mail to this e-mail but i dont had feedback ! :-(

Its very bad, everytime i start my kde it shows this bug ! :-( Its hours to fix then .... ! Fixes to be fast !
Hi! What version of Kfilebox are you using? I left this project a year ago and kfilebox 0.4.7 probably won't work with latest Dropbox in Kubuntu(I don't know) There are newer versions of Kfilebox by other developers. You can find them in Sourceforge, and probably they fixed the problem: http://sourceforge.net/projects/kdropbox/files/ Regards!
Thanks ! In the project page http://sourceforge.net/projects/kdropbox/files/ A week ago, the new versions o.4.8 and 0.4.9 are only available for Ubuntu ! But i use Fedora, and has many users using other distros ... ! is too bad to develop only for one distro :-( But, after send one message to developer, now the source is available ! In this mode, anyone using any distro can update kfilebox :-) Today i download the source of the newer version 0.4.9 and nore late i will update this ;-) Thanks ! :-)
If you use Fedora 15, I got it to install by using the following commands: For 32-bit $ wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/kdropbox/files/kfilebox-0.4.7/Mandriva%202010.1/kfilebox-0.4.7-29.1.i586.rpm/download $ sudo rpm --nodeps -i kfilebox-0.4.7-29.1.i586.rpm Then it's just Alt+F2 "kfilebox" Enter. For 64-bit $ http://sourceforge.net/projects/kdropbox/files/kfilebox-0.4.7/Mandriva%202010.1/kfilebox-0.4.7-29.1.x86_64.rpm/download $ sudo rpm --nodeps -i kfilebox-0.4.7-29.1.x86_64.rpm Then it's just Alt+F2 "kfilebox" Enter. I haven't had an issue yet. Hope this helps.
Oops, I messed up the 64-bit instructions. Here they are: For 64-bit $ wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/kdropbox/files/kfilebox-0.4.7/Mandriva%202010.1/kfilebox-0.4.7-29.1.x86_64.rpm/download $ sudo rpm --nodeps -i kfilebox-0.4.7-29.1.x86_64.rpm Then it's just Alt+F2 "kfilebox" Enter.
after kde 4.6.3 update, I have two dropbox icons in my system tray. One for the daemon, one for kfilebox. I do not have vanilla dropbox installed.
Stop Dropbox then; cd $HOME/.dropbox-dist mv wx._controls_.so wx._controls_.so.orig Then restart it and you will only have the new icon.
Hi uteck, thanks for your help. Exactly what I was looking for. Best regards, puetti
Any chance that new functionalities of Dropbox like selective sync or notifications about new files downloaded will be integrated?
The latest src.rpm at SourceForge, kfilebox-0.4.7-29.1.src.rpm doesn't build on Fedora for a variety of reasons. Since I have environment w/ both 32bit and 64 bit machines, running both F13 and F14 (don't ask), I took some time and fixed the spec file and incorporated fadnix's comments as well. I'd be glad to share if anyone is interested.
Hi, great work. Can you send me your custom SPEC file for F14, please. It would really help me. Thanks
The SPEC is at: http://db.tt/GdNu59b and the SRPM at: http://db.tt/CZDhMIt in my public dropbox.
Thank you for quick reply. Good job, saved me a lot of time.
Thanks for this apps, but source tar.xz not available, please re-up it.
I've uploaded the tar.gz again. Regards!
And what does it actually?
It looks a lot nicer then the basic icon, but when kfilebox starts dropbox, the old default system tray icon shows up. Any idea how to stop it from showing up? Its kind of annoying having 2 icons in the tray for the same thing.
Hi! I think you are referring to this problem: http://kdropbox.deuteros.es/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53:install-howto&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=53#comment-74 Regards!
