The package contains a script called unreal_protocol.sh, which decides based on the given URL which UT to run.
Support is avaible for the following games:
- Unreal Tournament (Classic / Game of the Year Edition) (unreal:///)
- Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo (unreal:///)
- Unreal Tournament 2003 Full (unreal:///)
- Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo (ut2004://)
- Unreal Tournament 2004 Full(ut2004://)
If you have installed the protocol-Handler you can simply type ut2004:// or unreal:// to connect to your favorite server.
To install this Protocol simply run the install.sh which is also included in the tar.bz2 archiv

Just to add: The unreal:// protocol is used by both Unreal 1 (Unreal Gold etc) and Unreal Tournament (UT99) When you click on an unreal:// link, the last installed game will launch. (In Windows that is at least)
