Description: Simple note editor and organizer. Notemeister is a note and information organizer written in PyGTK for the
GNOME desktop environment. It's philosophy is that it does not attempt
to be a word processor, will not be overly complicated and overloaded with features, but it will have the important subset of these features. Some of the features it currently has implemented are:
Notes kept in organized tree structure
Data is automatically saved on session exit
Link notes with files on disk so that they remain updated
Autosave feature saves data every 3 minutes
Rearrange tree view via drag and drop
Export notes to text files
Simple text formatting by selected bounds
Import notes from text files
In order to install, Python's distutils is required. Although this is part of the Python standard library, some distrobutions (Debian) provide it in a separate package called python2.3-dev.
User feedback is both appreciated and necessary to improve the project in terms of features and usability. Please provide user feedback, suggestions, and feature requests by email.
