Rune is a GNOME media player based on MPlayer and written in C. Rune can play various media formats, including DivX, XviX, x264, RMVB, MP3, OGG. It is written in C so it's fast and memory-friendly.

Keep in mind that this is an alpha version! Not all features are working. Basically, you can view a movie (windowed) or play some sound files. Pressing "Next" and "Back" buttons will play next and previous files in current directory.
