"HTTPS connection requested but SSL support not compiled in"

QGmailNotifier seems to be out-of-date because unread mails number stay to 0. Maybe Google changed the way it works... That's a shame because otherwise it appears to be a perfect open sources clone of GMail Notifier.

Nice! I really love it. One question: can we get some sort of notification (audio-wise) using, say, aplay?

I'll definitely look into this. It's a good idea :). Perhaps phonon is the way to go with this.
