Description: I know I'm going to hell for this but I decided to work on a theme that rendered KDE with more of an XP flavor. I recently installed XP on the "family machine" and I really liked the color, texture and structure of the widgets of the Silver theme. This snapshot presents the combination of Speleoalex's kde_xp theme, Keramik's kwin code and my own changes. I made slight modifications to Keramik's kwin code, and created replacements for the graphics.Last changelog:
I'm 90% finished the window decoration code, and am 100% finished the style pixmaps. I hope in a week I'll have it packaged and published at kde-look.org as a beta release!

I've got a real quick question. In the third screenshot, you have a file listing in the background with some PHP files. The file shows up as 16.0 TB? I realize this is completely random, but I was curious as to why they're so big?
Hmm... I still think the toolbars look odd compared to windows XP... :(

I'm still working on the toolbars. The problem is that KDE has toolbar background images, and I've been told in kde-devel that they can't be turned off. I had fully simulated XP toolbars (with the horizontal fade even) but they looked bad because behind every icon was a flat rectangle.
But, even if I can't find a complete solution, I know I can get the bevels correct soon.
Could you try to remove the highlighted edges on the toolbar and menubar, so it will look like they are "into" the program, like in windows XP? You can find the same effect in the dotNET theme... Please, that would be really great!
Thanks for the feedback on the screenshot. Your suggestion motivated me to dig around into theme documentation and I've got more of the XP Silver look moved over into my XP Experiment. Thanks for the nudge!

That sounds really nice. I like the widget theme, but it needs the improvement as I stated before, as I really think the highlight / edges around the toolbars / menubars destroy the XP look. If you take a look at the dotNET style, it looks really great in that. I'll give you some screenshots to explain it, if you don't understand what I mean exactly.
