How do you like this? http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=32842
It's a good idea to create a script for to rip music of ShoutCast with Amarok like Streamripper for Winamp.
Possibly AmaRip as a name? Anyway I'm all for this idea. XMMS has this ability via libsmpeg or something I think. XMMS doesn't go as far as StreamRipper, but it does dump the entire stream that you've downloaded, to your hard drive
here http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=27512 According to the Changelog for 0.3b stream ripping is supposed to work.
Yeah, but see that's a script designed for completely different purposes, even if it has that function. Plus it has lots of dependencies. I was thinking more of a clean steam ripper script that covers streamcast, icecast and peercast.
