Description: mp3urlnotify is a bash script that will send a url to your site with each track change in amaroK. You can update your blog, etc. with the current playing song in your playlist.
Make sure you configure the script after installation. The base URL will point to the server-side script, and your current song will be appended to that URL.
An example base URL could be: http://www.example.com/mp3.php?song=
After a track change, the following URL is sent: http://www.example.com/mp3.php?song=Artist%20-%20Song
mp3urlnotify does not include a server-side script.
mp3urlnotify relies on wget and kdialog. I'm not sure what KDE release kdialog was first implemented, but I'm confident all recent versions of KDE will run this script.
Hi there,
A long time ago, I used to use this plugin; now however it seems not to work with the newest Amarok! I really mis it, would it be possible to update this really cool little script to work again? That would rock :)
Cheers
Paul

Mostly the same Script, but modified for my use.
Works perfectly with Amarok 1.4.6
Bye

Yea, kdialog was introduced before amaroK itself probably so thats not an issue. I think kdialog is part of kdebase, not kdelibs though. So just list kdebase and wget as the prerequisites.
