Description: Sabre is built off of the BlueZ Bluetooth stack. This script lets you watch your bluetooth device, and upon leaving lock your screen, pause amaroK and message that you are away in Konversation. It is currently in a flux between full KDE support and KDE support. This script will work with KDE, however you need to edit the /etc/sudoers according to HELP.htm
KDE Support is rough at best, however we have gotten it to run flawlessly. If you are having trouble with this, please post in our Forums, where we will help you.
1.5.1 plays nicer with KDE, however out of the box, it still uses gksudo. There is a workaound documented in HELP.html that will let it work.
*** This is NOT a plugin to control songs in amaroK ***
if you want a plugin to do that look at BlueamaroK:
Whoa! This script is awesome! One of the coolest amarok scripts I've seen, and the fact that it works "out of the box" makes it even better.... Can't wait for pidgin support... Do we have any ETA on that?
Thanks.
First off: Thank You! I am glad the script is working for you!
Secondly: I have just started up some development again, when I get pidgin set, I will be sure to post it here :)
Cheers, and thank you again!

Nice work Paul. This is one of the neatest bluetooth features I've ever seen.. As I'm new to linux, and the ubuntu-world, maybe the idea of "proximity" utilities is nothing new, but it certainly is for me. I love it!

I get following error:
Window Manager set as KDE, do you want to change this? (Y/N)
n
cp: angegebenes Ziel „/usr/share/apps/amarok/scripts/sabre/“ is no directory
rm: removing „/usr/share/apps/amarok/scripts/sabre/install.*“ is not possible: file or directoy not found
You can work around this my typing this:
sudo mkdir /usr/share/apps/amarok/scripts/sabre/ -p
I will fix this is 1.5.2, and I am sorry for all the bugs.
Thank You,
Paul Tagliamonte
actaully, I am wrong. this is an issue of where PSLinuxOX Puts the files. I will start working on this today. Apparentley amaroK does not put its scripts in /usr/share/apps/amarok/scripts/.
Thank you for your great work.
I have one problem. It work not in pclinuxos!? I use KDE 3.5.8 and I have had try to use my Bluetooth headset. But i work nor :,(
I get allways this error:
The sudoers workaround is set as 0, do you want to change this? (Y/N)

Actually, I think this ia a different problem. Does zenity throw these errors? Try running:
zenity --info --text="Hello"
If that errors, I will file a bug report, and have KDE use kdialog insted.
Thank You ( you are the first only KDE user we have talked to yet )

A fix for this has just been finished. I will release the code within this week, to be sure that this new code plays nice :)
Thank you for the heads up.

sabre]# ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 13879, errno = 0
This is OK. this is an issue with KDio, and it has no effect on the app. Cheers, PaulTag
I use SuSE Linux 10.3

To me, this looks to be a gksudo issue. I would suggest using the /etc/sudoers l2ping workaround that I wrote up in the HELP.htm. Cheers, Paul Tag
