it dosnt work :(
started amarok with "--debug" amarok: SCRIPT "BBC" : "start bbc shows xml parsing..." amarok: SCRIPT "BBC" : "got 0 shows!"
ditto, it parses for an age but nothing shows up. Shouldn't have anything to do with one's location, should it? It used to work for me on amarok, but alas, no more...
It downloads and parses, but nothing shows up could be because I am in the US
Brilliant this matey
There is small error in downloaded file name, which is 92500-bbc_service_1.1.0.amarokscript.tar.bz when it should be 92500-bbc_service_1.1.0.amarokscript.tar.bz2 to be shown in script manager.
bah, you are right! :-/ Thanks!
the script worked fine all the time, but no it doenst show nothing at all. really strange. i would provide you more information, but i dont know how. if you can give me some advise, i give you the needed information. i am using amarok 2.0.2 from kdemod on archlinux. thanks for your work!
This should be fixed now. Sorry for taking some time to do this, but BBC changed the format of their feed quite a bit, so I had to make some big changes to the script. - Nikolaj
Hi I have installed this script from the Scripts manager and it shows as selected from there but I cant see it in the internet tab at all. Could you help please. Thanks.
Does it show any error messages when you enable the script? Try disabling the script in the script manager, restarting Amarok and then enabling it again. At this point, if something is wrong, it should show an error dialog on screen if something goes wrong
Thanks for replying, yes , it does give an error. A window pops up saying 'Exceptions found in the script, check the log'. I don't know where the amarok log file goes,so I started it from terminal and it gave me this output...dunno if I have attached the relevant part but this is the only part with error in it... amarok: END__: bool ScriptManager::slotRunScript(QString, bool) - Took 0.057s amarok: END__: void ScriptManager::findScripts() - Took 1.8s X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Major opcode: 20 (X_GetProperty) Resource id: 0x3600178
I installed this from Amarok and I can't see it anywhere in the UI. It says it's installed but no sign in the internet services browser or the plugins configuration.
Incidentally, I downloaded it manually and installed it, and now it works just fine. Great work, a search function would be nice. Looking forward to seeing if the BBC & Canonical improvements in Totem's UI can filter through to this.
works nicely here!
Thanks! I am sure you will be seeing a ton of these! :-)
