OK, first of all, both themes.freshmeat.net and art.gnome.org serve as repositories for GNOME-related themes; try there, please. Second of all: there's nothing remotely Panther-like about this theme. Panther may look like the bastard child of OS X, but this looks like the fourth cousin of the GTK1 theme Bubbles. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but someone could have come closer had they gone by screenshots alone.
Wow, you stole my stock icon set, very nice :/
Great looking theme you have there. Hopefully some1 will port it to KDE so the rest of us can enjoy it too! By the way, would you be running an xp2100 on the ss machine ? I noticed your mhz range, and it sounded familiar. Anyway, excellent job !
could it be, that it is an exakt h2o clone?
with lots of new icons and a new background. BTW, does anyone know a good theme like that for GTK1? H2O for GTK2 looks great, but the GTK1 version is quite ugly.
its a very quick and dirty hack of h2o-gtk actually :)
i can tell you don't own a mac.. i've yet to see a *single* close representation of the os x widget set in linux or windows yet. is it really that hard to get it right? i can send you some screen shots if you want or something.
Well, you haven't been looking hard enough then. I have been running an OSX lookalike desktop for the past year on Yoper Linux and have some screenshots I can email you... I KNOW it matches the MacOSX at CompUSA right here down the road because I brought my computer there to test it with the Cinema Grand monitor before I bought one. I realize that many of these themes are poor clones of OSX, but the ones that stand out as matches are OSX Bar (superkaramba), Acqua (style, correct scroll bars), and kwinacquamod_l3m-1.2 (windec) and of course the huge icon set AQUA-ICONS-07-23-2003 (no longer available here because of copyright I guess).
post a link to it
I tried 4 times to upload it here on kde-look and it keeps saying "invalid filetype". I have both a .png and .jpg, but neither will upload. I guess this site does not support Opera 7.21 for Linux, that's too bad!
How about no OSX crap at all. The site would look a lot cleaner without that garbage clogging it up all the time.
hello... TROLL
They aren't trolling. It's an honest gripe that a lot of people have. Why do we have to mimic OSX and XP *ALL* the time. I personally would like to see some inventive KDE/GTK2 themes that give us our own unique look. :) And I guess you could call me a troll..and then I would have been a 9 year Linux using troll.. so I'm an old troll. And you should always respect your elders. ;)
Well because that's what Linux is all about... personal choices and freedom. XP has a childlike, cartoon appearance, whereas OSX looks very clean and professional. So why not run OSX on a totally free Linux distro rather than paying thousands for OSX on proprietary HW!
Is this available as a kde theme as well? It is v. nice.
nope, just for gtk and metacity, it you want to port it be my guest, ive never done any kde themes im happy to hear you like it cheers ned
