GTK-QT Theme Engine

Description:

This engine is for use by GTK applications running in KDE. It applies all Qt settings to the GTK application and uses Qt style plugins directly.

Ported the theme engine to Qt4. Qt3 styles are no longer supported in this version - this is only for users who have upgraded to KDE4 or who want to use Oxygen in their GTK applications.

Oops, it is also fixed in Streamtuner.
Seems Debian has put back my old version again.

Since upgrading to GTK+2.8.0, when using the QT style, drop down menus are black and the following output occurs:

I have the same problem, but if i dowgrade the gtk all the apps (gtk) will be removed. =( Anybody have a suggestion ?

I had the same thing happen.
I did an apt upgrade of gtk2 items to v2.8
Black menus on gtk apps (gimp, synaptic,network tools, etc.).
Fixed by downgrade of gtk2 items with v2.8 installed to v2.6 (and downgrading all items with dependencies).

Is there a way I can tell gtk-qt not to change my gtk icon theme to the kde one? I use gaim, and not all the icons are mapped, resulting in some really ugly gtk stock/crystal combinations. I'd really rather just use the gtk icon theme and forget about it.I've used gaim on windows for a while, so I've gotten used to it looking different. I'd switch to kopete, but it doesn't really have any features.

there is a nasty bug: when you change the background of your desktop all the GTk apps crash because of these theme ;) sometimes some apps crash when i change my desktop

Sylpheed and Sylpeed-Claws are not using this theme. I don't know if this is a Sylpheed problem or a theme problem?

btw: The theme is installed in KDE 3.4 Beta2

This is a great project, but Azureus 2.2.0.2 crashes when making a torrent on Mandrake 10.1 with stock KDE 3.2.3. It works well with all other apps.

Great tool. Has some issues with scroll bars in Baghira...the right side of every scroll bar shows some randomly colored artifacts. SWT Java apps like Eclipse (you mention Azureus) also have the scroll bar issues, and some strange tree menu issues that I haven't been able to pin down (invisible text due to alternating color bands).

how can I change the font size of the gtk apps???

I rembember that I used to use a kde control center module to change the theme and font of gtk apps, but know that I reinstalled my OS I can't remember what's the name of this app.

Azureus is crashing, when I doubleclick on a torrent, to see the detailed view :(

Would be cool if you could fix this.

Mandrake Control Center doesn't look well with gtk-qt and any theme, I don't know why.

Please fix tabs in Plastik/Lipstik too.

Great work! Finally Eclipse is stable. But there are still some glitches:

The sliders are cut off:

I use Comix (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=16028) Style and KDE 3.3.2.

Openoffice 2.0 codeline (version m69 is the latest) now tries to respect gtk theming. However, in combination with gtk-qt it produces some strange results, namely, menu options and/or icons dissapear after mouse over. Could you please look into this? Otherwise,brilliant work!

Hey, I have the same problem, and Evolution (the default one with FC4) crashes too.

Anybody knows how to fix this?

I installed 0.6 version but Azureus is still crashing when I choose to run gtk apps with kde styles :(

This is great work. It works well with lipstik 1.0. There are some rough edges but nothing too unbearable.

Lipstik style has a background strip for icons in the menus. This strip is odd in different menus.

1. If the menu has icons then they are not centered in the strip. The icons are touching the right border of this strip giving a very weird look.

2. If the menu does not have any icons. The text is written over the strip. Very ugly.

I have considered removing the strip at all but I think it is a good usability improvement and would like to keep it.

As the changelog mentioned, a lot of things have been fixed - text highlighting and scrollbars now look right. I'm still getting the occasional wrong font in Synaptic, and I've seen Synaptic segfault on me.

But it looks really nice. You have to really be looking to tell the difference between a Qt/KDE app and a GTK app on my system now.
