Description: This system sound set made for ATER theme family. Making sound set match with a graphic design is more abstract then making a new skin. I think ATER theme match with electronic device sounds like beeping and etc, because the graphic design inspired by a device's led display. The set's sounds is a bit like sci-fi computer sounds, except the log sounds. I tried beeping log sounds, but i realised that they must be a little musical. So i reused two track from my two own composed song.
This version is a beta version. There is nothing final in it, so please let me know what is your opinion and all suggestion welcome.
The sound set contains the following elements: - Checkbox click sound - Menu select sound - Error sound - Warning sound - Information sound - ETC dialog sound - Log in sound (2) - Log out sound (2)
More than a few sounds, but not many. Pretty good. I found the compression a little aggressive, though. It leaves the sounds sounding a little flat and trebbley.
Making good computer sounds is an art. These must be very identifiable and unique, but also not intrusive and have to endure endless listenings. Yours have these qualities. Congratulations on your good work and thanks for sharing it.
you wouldnt happen to have these files in .wav format somewhere would you? Ubuntu doesnt like mp3's and I havent found a converter for audio files yet.
I downloaded it and used Audacity to convert the files from .mp3 to .wav
The process is a bit tedious, but totally worth it!
Another excellent product to complete the ATER theme. (Can't wait for the GTK!:)
I am expected for ATER-GTK. Sorry but I would to probe this know. Good Work, I like concept because is a true dark no a classic old based dark.
Sorry for my bad english.
