I just updated Kubuntu 18.04, it included some Ubuntu core files, this morning and now Vallpaper is not working right- unable to apply an image and when I do apply a solid color, it changes all 4 desktops instead of the one I working on.

I just tried it on Kubuntu 18.04+Updates and it worked.
If you want to try a reinstall use:
'sudo plasmapkg2 -g -t wallpaperplugin --upgrade Vallpaper'
or
'sudo plasmapkg2 -g -t wallpaperplugin --remove Vallpaper'
'sudo plasmapkg2 -g -t wallpaperplugin --install Vallpaper'

Thank you! I'm more satisfied with KDE than for years.
I have one issue. When I use an image from my own system ( fill- preserve aspect ratio) as a desktop background, I get a flicker every 5 or 6 seconds. If I use a solid color, no flicker. Is there a workaround that stops the flicker?

EDIT: I found the setting. Vallpaper can be set to change on an interval...I reset that interval to 0 and now have no flicker. Thanks again for this app!

Doesn't work for me. Not sure how to debug. I have Kubuntu 16.05, KDE plasma 5.5.5, kernel 4.4. Regardless of what I try and set in the Vallpaper dialog, every desktop is jut this one: https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Xerus_Default_Wallpaper.jpg
and it doesn't save my settings.

I found some errors in "~/.xession-errors":
"file:///usr/share/plasma/wallpapers/at.lehklu.plasmoid.vallpaper/contents/ui/main.qml"
"Error loading QML file.\n27: module \"org.kde.plasma.private.mediaframe\" is not installed\n"
...
and:
file:///usr/share/plasma/wallpapers/at.lehklu.plasmoid.vallpaper/contents/ui/config.qml:152: TypeError: Cannot call method 'push' of undefined

I developed with these versions:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.47.0
Qt Version: 5.11.1

I think it will not work with earlier versions.

Thank you very much for solving this issue . It works on linux opensuse leap 15.0 .
Worked immediately after install and so far is working as designed .
On my case, each desktop has an associated a folder ; The Vallpaper changes the images
at different time intervals as defined in the Configure Desktop .
We have been waiting for this for a long time, and Vallpaper delivered ....
Thanks again .

The only issue I have is that I had to change/reduce the number of virtual desktops .

Thanks ,
nickd
When I start the machine, the pager is still set as per old number of desktops
[ i.e. even if the configure desktop was from 12 to 8, the pager is still set for 12 ]

Thanks for making this! Is it possible to make it work with Desktop Grid View? When you use desktop grid view it shows the current wallpaper on all desktops.

When I use the example URLs it works just fine; but I do not seem to be able to display locally stored images using this product. All that I see is the background color selected in the applet.

Is there some specific format to enter a local path to a folder containing different images?

The input field is only for URLs,
local folders and files are selected via the corresponding push-buttons.
Also, local files are only displayed, if the URL input field is empty.

How do you use it? I followed instructions to install - and that seemed to work. I can't find the settings panel to use it though. Do you need to restart plasma after installing?

On my system it is not necessary to restart plasma.

After the install on the console it says: 'Successfully installed /home/DATA/KDEPlasma/Vallpaper/Vallpaper'.

Then right-click on the desktop and goto 'Configure Desktop'.
In the drop-down of 'Wallpaper Type' select 'Vallpaper 1.1.2'.
The settings page should be displayed.

Well, I figured out how to use it now, but it just doesn't work. When I right click on my Desktop, the menu item is called 'Folder View Settings' for some reason. From there I can select Vallpaper under 'Wallpaper Type'. Unfortunately, this usually crashed plasma for some reason (Segmentation fault). I must have some conflict or something. I can't figure out any way to debug it either.

My system gives following info:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.47.0
Qt Version: 5.11.1

Even with 'Layout' set to 'Folder View' the right-click menu item says 'Configure Desktop'.

Good work but there's something i don't personally like. If i put more wallpapers for the same virtal desktop, for example two wallpapers, when i hit "Next Image" or just wait the time i set, Vallpaper sometimes puts the same image as before again, which is stupid.
