Description:

HDE is an open source desktop environment for Linux/Unix Operating Systems. Because it makes heavy use of a high level API it can be kept small, stable and easy to maintain.

HDE can emulate the look of Windows and can be used for helping peoples integrating from windows to Linux Operating System.

::looks around:: I don't see Gnome, *Box, *Step, or Enlightenment listed here... that seems stupid to list an alternative to KDE on a KDE SITE! Seriously dude, put it where people care, like freshmeat or sourceforge. IceWM has themes here because (incase you haven't noticed) you can use those in KDE as window decoration. This is the wrong place for an alternative desktop environment. I actually use BlackBox now on my home computer, but you don't see me posting my BlackBox themes here.

... wtf!!! could you all try not to be that K-centric?? Let him post it here, why not. If anyone of the kde-look.org-team doesn't like it, THEY will remove it. As long as they don't mind, why do you??? I think it's cool, if people try to start their own desktop env. Perhaps it will be the preferred one some day, cause it is soooo much better than others...

All those crying about stuff postet here not being "KDE-related"... damn.. stop it! IT REALY SUX!

Uhm... When was the last time you looked at the site title? The web-site is called KDE-Look.org and thus, the site IS K centric, as you put it. Everything here must in some way be related to KDE, which as Yaba points out in the above post is true for the posted GTK themes, IceWM themes and even the X Cursor themes. HDE is a competitor to KDE. You don't see GNOME being posted here, do you? Thus, HDE does not belong on KDE-Look.org.

Has this got something even remotely to do with KDE?

It does depend on QT. GTK, X11 Mouse themes, fonts or IceWM doesn't also have anything to do with kde and listed in the content menu.

I have listed it in "Other" section, not kde, if the maintainer of this site doesn't like it, please tell me to remove it.

So HDE has absolutely nothing to do with KDE.

Regarding your points:

GTK Themes: Have a look in the GTK section. There you mostly find GTK themes that match KDE themes. However this section is mainly here, because KDE 2.x was able to use GTK themes directly.

IceWM: KWin can use IceWM themes for the window decoration.

X11 Mouse Cursors: OK, this is not directly related to KDE, but still much more than HDE, since Mouse Cursors are also used under KDE and therefore benefits from it.

Maybe I just don't get it? How do KDE Users benefit from HDE?

According to your argumentation everybody could also post Gnome stuff in the 'other' section. However the 'other' section is not a container for everything else in the world. It's a container for KDE stuff that does not fit in the other sections.

Hm... it seems like it is built using QT and they took the Crystal Icons.

But other than that I see no reason, why it should be posted here.

So please, poster, delete it and post it on appriopriate pages like freshmeat.net.
