World Map GDM Theme
Source (link to git-repo or to original if based on someone elses unmodified work): Add the source-code for this project on opencode.net
A GDM theme using the Crystal Icon set from KDE.
This is not really KDE but it is highly related as I beleive GDM is now the default Session manager for many people. If I wrong let me know and I will send this to Gnome-Art.
I will try to change the key icon. I first put a switch from the Aqua icon set but decided I'd better use ¨native¨ KDE stuff.
I'm pretty exited as this is my first contribution to the linux community. (Very small but I'm learning QT to make a kickass Konqueror plugin...)
For the credits:
This is a tweak of the Happy Gnome Theme.
As mentioned above the icons are from the Crystal Icon set.
The Map is a modified screenshot of the KDE world clock.

I use Mandrake 9.1/8.2, and they have their own (mdkkdm) which is basically a custom version of KDM.
So essentially, KDM is the default, tho you can easily opt to use GDM, or XDM (in that order).

Rather than apologizing for putting up a GNOME theme, just make it cross-desktop to work with KDM as well.

I use GDM and GNOME is not on my laptop: only the necessary libraries are installed. I think most people have these installed since I am told that KDE is the leading desktop and GAIM the leading messenger. There's got to be a lot of GNOME programs like GAIM running on KDE. (I personnaly prefer Kopete even though it is really unstable even in the latest release)
PS: donṫ hesitate to bash my head if I say stupid things. I know I've got a lot to learn.

I did put all GTK apps in the GNOME packet.
GDM like GAIM only needs the GTK libraries (not GNOME).
(I only installed GNOME recently for testing purposes)
Sorry

But you could make some kdm config files to set the background, color scheme, widget set, fonts, etc.
