Linux XP - bootsplash
The bootsplash of Windows XP is beautiful - with all effects and so,
now I have already a Linux with similar desktop in Windows XP style interface.
The next step would be to replace the bootsplash animation picture... so I built one, it was very difficult to do this effect but now is 100% iqual.
My friend when saw he can't just understand - it was perfect!

i love to creat clones, when after everything is perfect, i simply destroyed my creatures. i don\'t know but i will find if i can restore this bootsplash script or recreat and post. i have created a Windows XP almost 100% like Windows XP, with desktop, menu, bootsplash, etc. that scares linux users, but i think i formated my HD without backup. I backup my HD but the script is mind yet. If i find.... OK
UAU, uau, uau I put the the bootsplash just to see the comments and after 6 months: 4268 downloads! I don't now where my bootsaplsh scripts are, i will look for somewhere to put them here. You Linuxers, endeed you love my winxp bootsplash! i love you
Hi, I love original works and would like to keep linux as original/fresh as possible but these offbeat MAC/VISTA/XP themes actually prove "the linux customizability power" to the world. Keep up the good work.
Everybody hates my project. I just put a bootsplash to feel the Linuxers' expectatress. It's funny, people just hate my project, vote in Low Rated BUT download the bootsplash to see, they desire. People are begging to me to release the full project. One last thing: "My cousin just cry when saw my linux desktop", he wanted steal my hd just to clone, fortunately my logon screen "also like WinXP", the security is based in unix.
OK YOU PEOPLE ARE PISSING ME OFF!!! although i don't understand why, when i click download, its simply pulls up an image, this was a great project, and you people are bashing THIS just because YOU don't like windows? well i hate Microsoft also, but to be honest i like the look of windows, and everyone i know goes crazy if they don't see a button that says "start" in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. and to the one who said Linux is already beautiful, think again jackass. the default Linux looks SUCK ASS. HOWEVER... oh my god! Linux is fully customizable? oh right, so i can make it look like windows if i chose too! god you people make me sick
Linux looks like a kernel to me.
There's something that I didn't mention. I Am Not a Lawyer, I Am morally corrupt. I'm not to argue the merits of the GLP, patents claims. I must say, I'm quit upset, I might have to contact my lawyer to do this... or that, I'm getting sick. Vote "Good". I'll release the package as soon as i finish all the modules.
if i could vote 10 times bad, i would for sure... And yes.. like one said, this CAN'T be GPL... so i recommend you to re-read those licenses till you understand...
I don't want to be harsh on you, but the windows logo, microsoft and microsoft windows are registred mark of microsoft. So you can't actually use them with GPL.
I put just a screenshot to feel the expectatives, the rated. The bootsplash script effect is ready, but won't release this package separatedely - because all others modules in my project (Winxp Logon, Start Menu, Control Panel) are not 99% WinXP identical yet. Besides, there are some little bugs, i like things working perfectly like XP. When I finish this modules, i will release them to evaluate.
i didn't understand your text. did you, or did you not get the animation of the bootsplash working?
If anything, I'd tell it like it REALLY is and modify "Windows" so that it instead reads as "WinDOH!s" LOL
About my creature ================= 1 - knowledge - I learn some debugging in low level with native linux binaries; 2 - to fool others users: Microsoft and linux users; 3 - some kinda stable Windows; 4 - I'm addict in XP; 5 - I'm not a normal person;
I know that this is the only way to make stable winblows, but Linux is way more beautiful!

Osama's Theory Osama's theory expect this. Take a look: you are in a office, where is only allowed Windows XP enviroment, but just to fool others, you install the magic packages and tandaaan... Your Linux is Windowx XP! Everything is identical.
The last thing I want to see in my computer ms windows-like styles, themes, wallpapers etc.

Linux users couldn’t find the XP likes bootsplash yet. Linux users to customize their desktop use splashy, I hate splashy, because the effect of bootsplash is ugly like bootsplash package, think about the Windows XP logo, i have to do thousands of boots just to test. I love cracked things.

The big problem is this: In my project "Linux XP" - everything is identical Win XP. This includes Microsoft Logo, just to have fun. You put bad because the Logo, but the effects of this bootsplash is really cool.
Good work, rather than just replacing the images from other styles, you created something new with the animation, even though the rest of your style kind of sucks (and I believe you know that too) :-). The new animation can indeed be very useful for other bootsplash creators.
I vote bad because it's Windoze! You can try remove the Windows text and write the Linux XP. I hate M$! ;p
