Description: Crystal Remix is a Crystal icon theme for modern Linux desktop environments, created from KDE 3's Crystal Project and Crystal Clear icon themes (mainly Crystal Project). Personally, I think Crystal is the best ever icon theme for the Linux desktop, and I'd like to be able to continue using it.
Original author: Everaldo Coelho (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everaldo_Coelho). Adapted for modern Linux desktop environments by: Viet Dang (dangvd at gmail.com).
License The original Crystal icon sets were licensed under the LGPL.
To install: - Run the install.sh script from the Crystal Remix directory chmod +x ./install.sh ./install.sh - Go to the icon theme section of the System Settings / Control Panel / Tweaks, and select Crystal Remix
References: The original posts from Everaldo are no longer available. However, the two Crystal icon sets can still be found online:
New icons: - Added an icon for Bluetooth device. - Added an icon for Plasmavault app. - Added 2 icons for KDE Plasma feedback settings and LXQt brightness settings. - Added size 40x40: the reason is: Crystal Dock uses this size as the default for Application Menu component icons, and on some desktops (such as LXQt) without size 40 (and scalable), size 32 would be picked instead.
10Absolutely the best icon theme for me since v2.0. Just one nitpick - On my HiDPI screen using LXQt, "audio-volume.png" and "audio-volume-muted.png" are still not present for 48x48px (and higher) within the "status" directories, making the icon blank. Could you please upscale and make available the rest of those icons for next release? Thank you!!

Instantly brought back some memories of the 00's. Crystal was so "iconic", even someone who only messed with Windows back then had heard of them.
Puns aside, they mesh well with the Oxygen aurorae theme as you would expect.
Congrats, looks pretty damn good! Question: does this iconset iclude the "application-x-executable" blue gear? (this one: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Crystal128-application-x-executable.svg). I do have some fond memories of that icon. :')

About that icon, the earlier version of Crystal Remix uses it, but the current version uses the white one instead https://github.com/dangvd/crystal-remix-icon-theme/blob/main/128x128/mimetypes/application-x-executable.png
Basically the current version uses most of the icons from Crystal Project set, while the blue one belongs to Crystal SVG set. I'm still a bit undecided though, I might create two versions of Crystal Remix based on those 2, not sure :)
