Really like that theme..
Unfortunately I can't get it working properly on Kubuntu 18.10..
I installed Reactionary design with the mentioned color scheme.

The top bar doesn't have these grey borders, it looks more like Windows 2000..

Any advice on this?

If you're using a Plasma theme that includes its own colorscheme then that will affect this decoration. Try switching your Plamsa theme to Reactionary or default (Breeze) to see if it helps. Could you post a screenshot for me to look at?

Ah I got it. Reactionary didn't work out, but Breeze did. Seems sensitive to colors from other themes.
Can you tell me, which color names affect the window bar?
BackgroundNormal from [Colors:Button] seems to affect the blue part in the bar. Maybe I try to build my own color scheme, which works with the KDE1 window design :)

I don't know why Aurorae follows the Plasma theme first. This is based on the other Reactionary themes which follow system colors but I might re-work it to stand alone (not follow system colors). The key colors are WindowBackground for the frame, View{Hover,Focus} for the highlights and Button{Hover,Focus} for the lowlights. Best you open decoration.svg in an editor and look at the tags from each element.
I'm curious however that it didn't work with Reactionary Plasma. Could you post a screenshot? Seems something needs fixing.

Keramic needs a resizing textbox. I'm not sure Aurorae can do that and haven't yet got around to learning how to write QML window decoration.

As far as I know, modern KWin does actually still support the old KDecoration2 engine, but when clicking "Get New Window Decorations" in KWin settings, that only searches the Aurorae section on this site.

So, it may be possible to just port the theme over from Trinity or KDE 3.x, because I know someone else has ported over the KDE 2 window decorations to modern KWin. https://github.com/repos-holder/kdecoration2-kde2

The only other downside with KDecoration2 that users may notice, is that themes have to be compiled from source code, and don't drop in like Aurorae themes can.

Very good. Think I can work with that, may take a little time. Thanks for letting me know.

It's hard for me to describe but let me try.
1. In a Firefox window only some letters from the title appear.
2. If you do not apply the Reactionary theme, the window buttons don't work well.
3. It would be great if the gradient could be configurable. I know this might not be possible due to an Aurora thing but I would like to do it anyway (I'd like it to start with a darker shade of blue, although I know this is not KDE classic).

Thanks again!

Just starting work this morning. The decoration is color aware so should work with any Reactionary colorscheme. Don't have an issue with Firefox so could you post a screenshot for me? Thanks.

Thanks!
Here is a link to a screenshot:
https://snag.gy/pwk7cI.jpg

The text should have said: "Requests for -current (14.2-->15.0)". Note how just some letters are visible.
I'm using Firefox 60.2.2esr 64-bit.

Just updated. You might wanna run 'kbuildsycoca5' to refresh the image cache. I've had that text curruption happen a number of times, no idea what causes it: 'kwin_x11 --replace' always fixed it. Slackware, nice ;)
