I installed this and it is working as expected for everything except Firefox. Is this a packaging issue with my distro? (KaOS Linux)

this is a general issue for Firefox and plasma global menus. It is not related to this applet. If you search the internet "plasma kde how to show global menu" you will find out what is going on. In Tumbleweed it does not work even for me but in ubuntu derivative distros it should work.

I have the same problem. I'm trying to install at one time but unfortunately I could not. It should provide a more convenient way to install.

Hi Psifidotos. A great work. But in my case, after installing the required packages, run the script and observe that the construction of the widget ends successfully, the window appmenu does not work -except with firefox and chromium-. I have restarted Plasma and it still does not work. Do you have any idea what may be happening? My system: Kubuntu 18.04 Plasma 5.12.7; KDE Frameworks 5.47.0; Qt 5.9.5.

1. the plasma app menu applets works ok in your system?
2. I can not test the applet under plasma 5.12 so there is chance that it needs specific version for plasma 5.12

The appmenu only works with the Qt applications. In the case of the Gtk, only Firefox and Chromium. Libreoffice, Inkscape, Gimp for example, do not show the appmenu.
