Hello. After a what seems successful installation, the plasmoid gives the following error:

Error loading QML file: file:///usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.windowappmenu/contents/ui/main.qml:29:1: module "org.kde.private.windowAppMenu" is not installed

Any help to solve this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

you need to build and install this applet, you can NOT just added from Plasma Widgets Explorer. If you tried to build it and same things happen then open a bug report at: https://github.com/psifidotos/applet-window-appmenu/issues

containing also the output of your entire build process in command line

Great applet, thank you for implementing it :) I have one question/feature request: could you maybe implement the option to keep the application menu hidden until user hovers with mouse cursor over the applet in the panel? This would be great as it wouldn't clutter the panel all the time, while the application is active. The same feature would be great for the window buttons applet as well ;)

In Latte git version if you use windows title and Window AppMenu they both provide a Unity behavior option that you can enable.

In Unity mode the window title is shown by default until you hover it and the appmenu appears instead.

Oh wow, that's great :) Didn't know about that one. I just installed the git version of Latte and set up everything as I wanted it to behave. Thanks for the info. Do you maybe know when will stable Latte version with these functionalities be released?

Could you add an option to customize the menu's font? Right now it seems to depend on "general" as set in KDE's preferences. Something similar to the "digital clock" widget, that has the option to either use the default font or set a custom one.

For any debian "commoner" (not sure if this works for arch based distros but I was on KDE Neon) wanting to build this for themselves and are struggling with cmake dependencies, you can do this:

1. Using "apt-file", search for the missing required dependency
e.g. Could not find a package configuration file provided by "ECM" with any of the following names: ECMConfig.cmake

Do this:
$ apt-file search ECMConfig.cmake
extra-cmake-modules: /usr/share/ECM/cmake/ECMConfig.cmake

$ sudo apt install extra-cmake-modules

Repeat this until all dependencies are met and a full install ($ sh install.sh) succeeds

I used all 3 of Michail Vourlakos' AWC suite and totally replaced the no longer supported AWC (https://store.kde.org/p/998910/)

Thank you very much for this. This fixed my problem.

Missing dependencies were:
extra-cmake-modules qtdeclarative5-dev libkf5plasma-dev libqt5x11extras5-dev

Installation went smooth except some warning about anaconda, but adding the widget to panel doesn't actually add it to the panel. No errors. I am on Fedora 29 KDE.

Could someone help with this installation error?

"""

the following names:

ecm-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of "ECM" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set "ECM_DIR"
to a directory containing one of the above files. If "ECM" provides a
separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been installed.

Thanks in advance.

Would not I be able to group your 3 apps into a single one, as was Active Window Control? It would make the installation and configuration process much easier.
Congratulations on the job.
