First of all let me just make it clear that I have nothing to do with popcorn-time. I am not encouraging anyone to use it for other things than legal content :-)

Now then - Depending on your distro you may or may not have Popcorn-Time in your repos. Regardless of whether or not you do it can sometimes be a headache to build it from, let's say AUR, or places of that like so you may still end up downloading it from https://popcorntime.sh/.

If you do that you could simply just run Popcorn from the command line, but to set it up to have it amongst your other programs in your launcher can be a tedious task for some (such as lazy people like me)...


So folks - Here is a bash script I wrote which helps you do just that!

The script is distro-agnostic and should help you have popcorn setup and running in two seconds.


::: Usage :::

- Put the script inside of your popcorn-time folder and just run the script by, for example, dropping it onto a terminal window

- State your password when prompted and you are good to go :-)
