Thanks Charlie. I am trying. My gtk themes are much improved. I freeking found the mother load of info on how to make them and you would not believe how easy it is. I almost feel betrayed or something that someone hasn't clued me in. It is hard to learn everything when you have absolutely no friends on Linux or anyone to ask questions other than websites and such.Like me I have never had a computer course of any kind or any kind of formal schooling on such. I just started and liked it and fell in love a little to much I think. It is so easy If I have color scheme already made then I can make the gtk theme in less then 60 sec. lol yea thats right less than 1 min.
Right on man, making splash screens use to be that fast as well with older versions of Plasma from what I have read. After this graduation season is over and everyones kids are done needing me to see it all lol I can get more involved with themes.
People that know how to do things are holding there info back is all I can tell you because I have specifically asked people on this site that I know for a fact new how to do this the easy way and they would not tell me. Kinda makes you wonder why they are even using open source. Anyways there is unfriendly people all over the world and will be when we are gone.
Well man you're really good at this and friendly too. If I was you with this knowledge and wanted to do something different then why not make a blog and share your knowledge base with others. Open source has always been competitive for reputation but the projects are free so one person does not have to choose a project based on funds available so they download both if it fits their needs, that's never really seemed to catch on lol....
I have been thinking of the blog thing for a while now and I would gladly share what I know which isn't enough but hey it may be more than some people know and the thing that is holding linux back is lack of knowledge. People are scared of the unknown and it is easy for them to crank windows up and surf the web I guess. I had gotten sick was at home for a long time bored to death and I started messing with Linux and well I installed it and removed it I think 5 or 6 times before I finally gave windows the boot. lol . I would enjoy writing I think and sharing and collecting info. Maybe I can find a place to write articles or something. I would love to learn QT. I have no coding knowledge but I am wanting to learn.
I have tried the kvantum thing and I hate it. I will be keeping on using the Breeze as my base for my themes. Flat window decorations ruin the look of KDE Plasma.
