The new rankings are still coming in for 2020, and Solarized-Dark-COLORPACK enjoys a #17 & also a #18 spot in the GTK Linux world - according to top Linux/GTK sites: 'itsfoss,' and ubuntupit. Thanks again faithful users! https://itsfoss.com/best-gtk-themes/ https://www.ubuntupit.com/best-mate-themes-for-linux/
Solarized-Dark-COLORPACK is a GTK, xfwm4, openbox-3, and GNOME-Shell - Dark Mode Theme - based on the Official Color Pallet created by Ethan Schoonover (https://itsfoss.com/best-gtk-themes/).
Choose from the official Blue, Cyan, Green, Magenta, Orange, Red, and Violet flavors.
*** Solarized-Colors-gtk-theme-iconpack is now available, on this site in a separate package, to support Solarized-Dark-gtk-theme-colorpack. Please follow this link to check it out: https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1309239/
Brought back to the GUI by popular demand, Solarized-Dark - as originally created by Ethan Schoonover - is the highly valued color scheme for code editors and terminal emulators. Delivering GTK, xfwm4, openbox-3, and GNOME-Shell dark-mode-schemes, this GUI-centric theme strictly adheres to Ethan Schoonover's original color scheme, which has been published for many major applications, with some including the scheme pre-installed. Coders and GUI users, alike, know that - once you try Solarized-Dark - it is hard to go back to anything else.
In His Own Words:
"Solarized is a sixteen color palette (eight monotones, eight accent colors) designed for use with terminal and gui applications. It has several unique properties. I designed this colorscheme with both precise CIELAB lightness relationships and a refined set of hues based on fixed color wheel relationships. It has been tested extensively in real world use on color calibrated displays (as well as uncalibrated/intentionally miscalibrated displays) and in a variety of lighting conditions." https://ethanschoonover.com/solarized/
The GTK, xfwm4, openbox-3, and GNOME-Shell theme represents a careful blending of modernized Numix elements, in tandem with those of minimalist artist Rafa Capoci and full-stack web-developer/themer Pavel Agarkov, with an overlay of the original standard Solarized-Dark theming created by Ethan Schoonover.
Manual Installation Is Easy: 1) Extract the "tar.xz" file into your "~/.themes/" folder - to install for current user only - or into the "/usr/share/themes/" folder - for the theme to be applied globally. 2) Use the GNOME Tweak Tool or an equivalent app to enable it for your desktop.
Logging out and then logging back in may be necessary on some operating systems, to fully implement themes.
If installing manually, make sure to install the dependency: "Murrine theme engine" if you do not already have it; and update your GTK+packages if you have not.
Roboto and Roboto-Medium are the UI fonts, Midnight Lizard Solarized extension (for Chrome & FF) is the browser add-on shown in the screenshots.

19-08-20: Version 2.0.2 5 months ago
This update sees the GS-3.36 panel text lightened a modicum, to match the original scheme. The new GS, and GTK ecosystem, for 'bleeding edge' theming, has undergone significant changes via 3.36, including point upgrades; therefor, stability has been the objective here. With plenty of field testing out of the way, there is time, now, for alignment fixes, and catching up some of the nice enhancements the standard variant has enjoyed, boasting more mature code. As indicated, the standard (original) variant already has the value for panel text brightness reflected in this current 3.36 update. Commit: b287f6

This update sees Sliders, Scroll-Bars, and Handles modified, vis-a-vis GS-3.36 (previous update did this for the non-3.36 variant). Here, each of the seven flavor's base color is applied to these elements, where they used to be white/gray. Commit: 6de5c9
28-04-20: Version 2.0 8 months ago
This update sees a complete reconstruction, and addition of new variant, supporting GS 3.36, and all the newest GTK operating systems. Modifications include up to 370 changes and 33 additions, across all platforms. This exhaustive upgrade was due to major shifts in the ecosystem, namely the arrival of GNOME 3.36. Since most users are still on earlier versions, the original variant will still be retained, and refreshed, for the foreseeable future. For the existing, regular variants, this update modifies all seven flavors, adding each flavors base hue to the App-Grid switcher element, controlling the "Frequent" and "All" function. Previously, this element rendered white. Commit: ddfb8c

This comment, you have posted, is on the GTK theme page - not the icon page. Perhaps that clears things up for you,
