CursorCreate is a multi-platform cursor build system, which is capable of building cursor themes for Linux, Windows, and Mac via Mousecape. It comes with both a CLI and GUI interface, and can read cursors from SVGs, CURs, ANIs, XCURs, and several other image formats. It is also able to save CursorCreate projects to a project folder which includes all the cursor source files and a build.json, which specifies how to build the source files into a cursor theme.
The goal of the project is to provide an easy way of distributing and creating cursor themes. For more information on how to get and use CursorCreate, I recommend looking at the project's GitHub page (https://github.com/isaacrobinson2000/CursorCreate).
This program is in beta still, so there might be some bugs. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Update 1.3.0
Download links now point to version 1.3 on GitHub.
This is the final update I will post on this website, and all following updates will only be posted on GitHub.
New to this version:
- Removed 24px x 24px output for Linux themes as it seemed to cause issues in some software which would always select the minimum cursor size.
- Project now has a setup.py and is available on PyPI.
To install from PyPI with no GUI support:
pip install CursorCreate
To install from PyPI with GUI support:
pip install CursorCreate[gui]

Hello heavy7eavyboi. I am currently packaging binaries and putting them under the releases section on GitHub, which you can get here: https://github.com/isaacrobinson2000/CursorCreate/releases I have also added links to the v1.1 release on this page, but these links will likely become out of date as the program is under active development.
10 10 the best
10 Very interesting, thanks for sharing! ;)
Thanks! Do you know anywhere else I might be able to share this? I'm looking for communities that could benefit from the software but I don't have a very good idea of where else to look.
The usual places where you can find cursors could be a good place to start, like Devianart, for instance: https://www.deviantart.com/
