8 [20201104, Skeuos-Blue-Light variant]

Looks great. I'm normally not super fond of themes that change appearance between focussed and unfocussed windows, but I really get what you're trying to do with flat vs. intuitively usable (skeumophic, non-flat, whatever) and I like it so far.

Could you show gtk3-widget-factory in the screenshots, please?

Idea, take it as you wish: I feel that the area contrast isn't quite "there" yet between buttons and backgrounds, between header/titlebars and content, and especially between listbox contents and headers. Perhaps the general lightness could be made less glaringly white (75-85%), and the overall darkness of the dark theme be made correspondingly less pitch black (15-25%)? I feel that this could be a way to improve area contrast a bit, and it doesn't have to come at the expense of text contrast.

Use case: laptop, light theme user for font legibility, daytime + nighttime use, and "glare shock" avoidance when switching between a styled dark window and unavoidably non-styled things like web pages that tend to be black text on white. In dim conditions, I dial the backlight down. A light variant that isn't too glaring seems to really help me a lot there!

Hey! Thank you for such a nice feedback!! ;)
For now, this is the best contrast ratio I've achieved that works fine in most of the displays I use. It's true there's room for improvement so I'll continue testing and tweaking it. I want to avoid using too sharp borders, so maybe some simulated depth with subtle shadows could help

Thank you again :D

Hahaha.. well that's a way to respond.

Maybe a purple accent instead of blue. Matching Yaru Extended Dark Purple icon theme. Just a thought. Thx for your work!

That could be a nice one. For now, I'm using these colors as they're the ones I support with my icon theme. I need to improve the automation of the folder coloring so for now it's kind of hard to create the icon theme variant. Maybe someday hehe.

But for now, the generation of the theme is pretty customizable, if you want I can help you build your own with the accent color you prefer.

I really don't know where to start. So thanks for the offer, but I leave it to the specialists.

9 excellent: Only thing that can be better imo is window top bar buttons like close, minimize and maximize should be a bit larger i.e. same as standard size. For me they are really small.

finally something other than copies of mac / windows theme, very beautiful and practical, it lacks gtk3-theme of the same color and no transparency, thank you again ...
