Description:
⚠️ Only Plasma 5 is supported for now! Plasma 6 port is being worked on ⚠️
This KWin script suggests other window thumbnails on snap. It tries to replicate the famous Windows 10/11 feature of the same name.
Assist can be shown by dragging a window to the screen edge, as well as via default keyboard shortcuts (super + arrows).
You can select the window with mouse, as well as with arrow keys + Enter. To dismiss the assist, you can hit Escape key, press the close button or click anywhere on the empty area.
It also supports quarter and triple tiling: you can switch layouts with the Tab key or using the "Change layout" button in corner.
---
Since version 1.4, it also provides experimental options for snap group features:
- Minimize/restore snapped windows together
- Raise snapped windows together
- On close snapped window, try to fill the area
When you enable any of these options in settings, the script will start tracking windows snapped with the script. Group of snapped windows is remembered once you fill the layout using the assist. Window is no longer considered snapped once it was closed or moved manually using the mouse.

Compatibility
For compatibility with other KWin scripts, such as Window Gaps, please see the Compatibility section. It will be updated over time.

10 My great developer friend. Your complement has been helpful to me for years! However, unfortunately, the Garuda I use updated Plasma to version 6. Therefore, its plasmoid broke. Because it is no longer compatible. But your palmoid is more important to me than Plasma 6. I would love to have it working again. Thank you very much if you do this. Don't let this wonderful work be forgotten in the past.
Will this app have a version for plasma 6? My Garuda forced entry to plasma 6. But this add-on is more important to me than plasma 6. Now I'm unable to use it... 😐
