This effect requires at least KWin 5.25.0. Also, if the color picker widgets in the settings of any of the Burn-My-Windows effects do not work, you may have to install the package "libkf5widgetsaddons-dev" (Kubuntu, KDE Neon, etc) or "kwidgetsaddons-devel" (Fedora, OpenSuse, etc). If you encounter a bug or have a feature request, please open an issue on GitHub!
IMHO, there are many things which could be done to improve the KWin port of the extension. However, since I am not using KDE as a daily driver, I would appreciate it very much if someone volunteers to work on this port! I am happily receiving pull requests...
1010/10. I cannot tell you how excited I am to see this on KDE. It's legitimately the only GNOME extension that had me even remotely missing the GNOME desktop. Thank you SO much for all the hard work it took to bring this to the KDE environment! Keep up the great work!

Worked flawlessly until last update (arch linux, most recent KDE update) now the windows pop into existence and the effect happens OVER them. This is just a bug (one that I can't imagine will stay around too long) so I'm still rating 10/10 but I did want to go ahead and mention it
Do the other Burn-My-Windows effects work? I am just in the progress of updating the effects and maybe something went wrong. And make sure to run at least KWin 5.25.0 - older versions are not supported (I'll add this note to the description ASAP).

Thanks! This issue has been fixed already and should be gone with KWin 5.26.1 (https://github.com/Schneegans/Burn-My-Windows/issues/223).

It doesn't work. Windows just suddenly appear and disappear without triggering the effect. Default KDE effects like Scale and Fade work without issue.

Ah, I'm running KWin 5.24.6, so that would explain it. Thanks.
