I already have this in Dolphin without your script, enabled via Dolphin (In Settings, Context Menu).
Also the shortcut `Ctrl D` will duplicate a selected folder...
as you are already using a script to ge the job done ... what about adding an option to create an empty copy of a directory? the naming of copies in the build in Duplicate is kinda simple. this could also be done better. your challenge! ;)

yeah, i am sorry. This is for plasma 5.18 below, because i am using older plasma.
