Thanks for reporting this, looks like a bug on the component that fetches the widgets from the store, made a bug report here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482349.
To get around one can download and install manually with this command:
kpackagetool6 -t Plasma/Applet -i /path/to/plasmoid/plasmoid-name.plasmoid

Can't seem to install this via the plasma "add new widgets" installer. Just an FYI!
